This Summer, Clip ‘n Climb Cambridge has got involved in the Summer Activity Programme funded by Cambridge City Council, as part of their drive to encourage local families to take part in physical activities together over the Summer Holiday.
The Council funded over 50 climbing sessions for children and their parents so they could experience Clip ‘n Climb Cambridge. Our 20 climbing walls and 2 extremes each pose a unique challenge, with different shapes, obstacles and colours, requiring different skills and targeting different areas of the climber’s body.
A parent who participated said:
"I just wanted to say a massive massive thank you for you/City Council putting on these sessions, that we would otherwise find hard to access.
It's a real treat for us! The staff were friendly, smiley and approachable. My SEN son had a great time and felt very at ease. The areas are clean and well looked after!"
Clip ‘n Climb Cambridge is the perfect family-friendly activity for climbers of all ages to stay active. The activity sessions provides families with the opportunity to engage in activities they may not usually participate in. The programme ran by Cambridge City Council over the holiday included events at different venues around the city and individual sessions with activity providers such as Clip ‘n Climb Cambridge.
Being part of the Summer Activity Programme allows us to give back to the community, ensure inclusivity and provide a safe space as we understand the longest School holiday of the year can be a particularly challenging one. With a new term approaching, Clip ‘n Climb Cambridge will continue to work with community groups and support future programmes. If booking a community group session is of interest to you, please contact us via email or telephone.
